Salon Pro Wins TanTalk.com Photo Contest

HARVEST, AL – Thanks to TanTalk.com and some interior decorating savvy, Bruce and Amy James now have their very own iPOD personal music device.

For the past year, Bruce and Amy James, who own Summer Breeze Tanning in Camarillo, CA, have participated on TanTalk.com, a popular tanning industry discussion board. When moderators of the site announced a contest looking for pictures of the best salon décor, they didn’t give it much thought at first. “A friend of ours who saw the pictures of our lobby on our profile suggested we enter the contest,” Bruce recalled. “We didn’t think we’d win, but we both said, ‘Why not give it a try?’ We submitted a few photos of our lobby, and we were very surprised to find out we’d won.”

Of all the salon owners who entered the contest – which awarded an iPOD personal music player as its prize – TanTalk’s moderators chose the pics from Bruce and Amy’s salon. “We had a lot of great entries in this contest,” said Michael Chunn, TanTalk.com owner. “Our moderators were especially impressed with the look of Bruce’s lobby with its decorations, cleanliness and beautiful, marbled stone floor.” Bruce and Amy were contacted by Chunn and informed that they had won the iPOD. “It’s funny because we were actually talking about getting one,” Bruce added.

This latest salon décor contest was one of many similar contests that have been held on TanTalk.com. “It’s a great way to keep the excitement going on the site,” Chunn explained. “We plan to have more of these contests throughout the year, and we encourage all salon pros to stop by TanTalk.com and participate.”
